I met these friendly extra large firefighters previously, in the Innisfail Fire Station about 1500 km north of Brisbane Australia. I figured the minimum height and weight requirement to work here is over 6 ft 2 " and 220 lbs.. These guys put me up for the night, fed me, and together we shared a lot of laughs and stories on firefighting. One member of each crew is specially trained in snake handling, as many deadly snakes get into homes or get bitten, and they need to get them out.
I showed them the picture of the harmless green tree snake I caught with stick earlier that day that seemed to be annoying me and chasing me as I had lunch. They said, "MATE ! that's not a tree snake, that's a Taipan, the deadliest snake in the world and it will chase you, and it will kill you". Just one bite injects enough to kill at least 100 human adults in just a few minutes. At this point I wished I had a car and hotel rooms, instead of a bike and a tent. I didnt sleep too well that night
