After 4500 gruelling km numerous flats, storms, tornadoes, snakes, notorious headwinds heat, cold,sweat and hit by a car in Coffs Harbour. I MADE IT TO MELBOURNE.I hugged the sign and actually cried all alone but overwhelmed with joy I made it alive. Tomorrow is the big ride with Police and Firefighters through Melbourne the Melbourne Firefighters have donated $5000. Stay tuned for the finale.

In answer to your question...Do I live in Melbourne or Vancouver?
I live in Victoria, B.C. and have lived in Vancouver at different times in my life. Saw your site posted on my Facebook wall and took a look at your trip. Hope it is turning out to be what you hoped for and more. You belong to one of the most honourable professions and must be proud of all you are doing. Bet you are missing the greenery of Vancouver though.

My Journey

I am a fire captain and cancer survivor.
I have now cycled around the earth by bicycle for cancer charity, but my journey is not over. I followed the rules of Guinness global 0circumnavigation. Same bike, same direction, cross two antipodal points, the equator and cover at least 29,000 km. My final legs were crossing Australia north to south and east to west across the deserts bringing the total countries crossed to fifteen and a distance of 29,000 km over 10 years. The journey now continues to the most desolate and highest points of the earth. email:
