My New Years resolution is not to get cancer a third time.... . I plan to be so active in next year by mental and physical training for Everest in 2019 that cancer or any disease will not be able to keep up the pace. I will complete a full Ironman Triathlon this summer. With that training I will climb Mount Hood, Mount Kilimanjaro and possibly attempt Mount Blanc. I will carry the Canadian flag signed at my high school reunion , by firefighters and police officers and cancer patients around the world. It has come with me around the world and will do the triathlon with me summit all these peaks and finally rest on Everest. I will take pictures of all the names on the flag after you summit Everest with me. Climbing frozen Shannon Falls near Whistler below.

I hope you will plant a cedar tree for me if I die.

Happy New Year.

                   My Journey

I am a fire captain and cancer survivor.
I have now cycled around  the earth  by bicycle for cancer charity, but my journey is not over. I followed the rules of Guinness global 0circumnavigation. Same bike, same direction, cross two antipodal points, the equator and cover at least 29,000 km.  My final legs were crossing Australia north to south and east to west across the deserts bringing the total countries crossed to fifteen and a distance of 29,000 km over 10 years. The journey now continues to the most desolate and highest points of the earth.  email:
