New Zealand 2016

Over to New Zealand: This is where I start the next leg of my global journey in November to support cancer research. Waipapa Point lighthouse (latitude 46°40’ south, longitude 168°51’ east) near Invercargill looking due south is the Antarctic 1400 miles to the Antarctic Circle. Apparently you can experience all four seasons in one day here and penguins inhabit this coastal area as well. Invercargill is the southernmost and westernmost city in New Zealand, and one of the southernmost cities in the world. I am humbled by the generosity and welcome from the fantastic people of New Zealand.
