I had to think before posting this because its very personal. The deal with the oncologist at home was I can do this extreme cycle across New Zealand as long as I get 2 blood tests. One at the start and one half way. Well the good news is SCL Labs in New Zealand did it for free and donated $400 the Leukemia and blood cancer that I am riding for. Plus they are running both tests again to confirm the results. The bad news is my blood levels went up at an extreme jump of 25%. When I checked the news at a McDonalds with wifi 60 km ago I forgot my laptop maybe because I didnt want to rad any more bad news.... so I got a nice hotel that even has a business center and a bath tub. Im continuing on just because cancer is chasing me again doesnt mean it will catch me.Im not that sad nor am I afraid any more so dont you be. Im not going home for more tests. I plan on riding even faster and harder. I will never stop, but I know now how Terry Fox must have felt half way through his journey when his cancer returned. Its way nicer here than the cancer clinic over Christmas. Besides schools full of kids are waiting for me in Auckland and lots of fundraising and great people to meet here. I read before that people with little time left all wish they did several things different. Take more time off, traveled more, worried less and has visited or made peace with past friends. The first three I am doing the last one I am really working on.... some people following at home know what in particular from high school I am trying to make peace with. FK cancer lets ride on together and beat this shit !
