Today at Auckland Airport . What an amazing day in my life collecting for the charity a week before Christmas. We met so many great people and raised buckets for Leukemia today.Leukemia is the number 1 cancer in children. Two girls were going on a holiday with their Mom as they just lost their father to the disease. I had to hold back my tears.Then the calendar shoot again for the charity and so honored a Canadian Firefighter in the New Zealand calendar. It took me 25 years and 18 countries!. My bike was really excited she got in the shots. December 2018 is the one.

My Journey

I am a fire captain and cancer survivor.
I have now cycled around the earth by bicycle for cancer charity, but my journey is not over. I followed the rules of Guinness global 0circumnavigation. Same bike, same direction, cross two antipodal points, the equator and cover at least 29,000 km. My final legs were crossing Australia north to south and east to west across the deserts bringing the total countries crossed to fifteen and a distance of 29,000 km over 10 years. The journey now continues to the most desolate and highest points of the earth. email:
